In the Kitchen is where you'll find our founder. Having grown up at the side of her Great Grandmother, cooking has always been a source of good times, family bonding and of course, good food. Inspired by her love of traditional food favorites, the joy of feeding people and a desire to usher in 2021 with a something positive, Mother and Daughter-In-Law Lisa and Sarah birthed “The Uncommon Kitchen”. Lisa’s twenty-five years of globetrotting and culinary adventures has given her insight on mixing downhome favorites with globally inspired flavors. To finish off a good meal, Sarah’s passion for the science of baking shines through in her sweet treats. The start of the Uncommon Kitchen was just an extension the everyday lives of these two female entrepreneurs. As a mother of 4 sons and the director of a non-profit that feeds low-income children, feeding people has always been a foundational piece of Lisa’s life and this same passion is being cultivated in the next generation.
